Island Roots to Global Routes Trade Mission

As businesses in Sint Maarten and the wider Caribbean seek access to larger international markets, the need for structured business support and market-entry programs continues to grow. Many entrepreneurs possess competitive products, services, and innovative ideas but lack access to the networks, resources, and practical guidance needed to expand internationally.

The Island Roots to Global Routes mission is designed to connect Caribbean businesses with opportunities in the United States through training, business development support, networking, and direct engagement with key organizations and service providers.

Collaboration

The Island Roots to Global Routes Mission was initiated by the Sint Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry (COCI) in collaboration with the I Am SXM Foundation and has since evolved into a regional partnership involving the Chambers of Commerce of Dutch and French Sint Maarten, Statia, Saba, Aruba, and Anguilla. Additionally, CINEX Curacao has also joined the initiative. Participating Chambers and entities will leverage their communication platforms and business networks to promote the mission and encourage participation throughout the region.

Additional partners include the Greater Chamber of Commerce of Miami, economic development organizations, logistics stakeholders, and private-sector representatives within Miami. These collaborations are intended to expand access to business resources, professional networks, and commercial opportunities.
